Admissions
There are three types of admission to the school:
- Joining the school as a Year 7 student in September – see below
- Joining the school at any other point (In-Year Admissions) - see below
- Joining from another school into the Sixth Form - see below
Joining the school as a Year 7 student in September
Admissions to start Princes Risborough School in September of Year 7 are coordinated by Buckinghamshire Council and information on the process of moving up to secondary school can be found on their Admissions website, including the timeline for the process. At this link you will also find details of open events for all schools.
Students who have been allocated a place at Princes Risborough School for September 2025 are notified on 3rd March 2025. Admissions are allocated according to the school's admissions criteria, which are set out in our Admissions Policy.

In-Year Admissions
Applications for places at the school other than to start Year 7 in September are known as in-year admissions. If you wish to apply for a place for a student outside the Year 7 transfer process you should complete the Buckinghamshire’s In-Year Admissions application form.
